About us
It is in the context of years of artistic collaboration between Joanna Garnczarek – composer – and Marta Chrzanowska Foltzer – poet and writer – that Nova Aura duo was created in 2013. It all began with private concerts given both in Poland and in France. Since 2017, Nova Aura plays regularly in Cracow at various events such as the Gala Concert of the Sokόł Society in 2017; in 2018 at the “Dreaming of Lviv” concert with the Warsaw’s Theater of Songs and at the occasion of a concert dedicated to French music and songs “L’air du temps”.
Their Album “Nova Aura Square”, released in 2018 was entirely written and composed by the duo and arranged by Cracow’s famous musician Jerzy Zając.
Songs found in this album are an invitation for a new view of our everyday lives. Balancing between blues, waltz and tango rhythms, they take us through a journey of feelings, from mischievously funny to a tad nostalgic, in one single song hop.

Duo
Nova Aura duo – hard to say „it” when talking about it – so… let’s just settle for „we”.
It is between France and Poland that we create and perform. Although Polish are very important to us, our „imaginary world” has been built from many influences. Words and Sounds. Rythm and rime. Dozens of music notes scribbled everywhere, bottom drawer notebooks full of poems just laying there. Rehersals, first emotions, in front of our first audience – definitely worth living. As is reaching to one another.
